Synopsis/Plot
48 Hrs. is an action-comedy film released in 1982. It stars Nick Nolte as a hard-bitten cop, Jack Cates, and Eddie Murphy as Reggie Hammond, a convict who is temporarily released from prison to help Cates solve a crime.
The film follows Jack Cates, a cop from San Francisco who is on the hunt for a pair of cop killers. He is granted 48 hours to apprehend them and is given the help of Reggie Hammond, a convicted criminal who is temporarily released from prison to assist him in the investigation.
The two mismatched partners find themselves in a race against time as they travel through the city in search of the killers. Along the way they must confront the seedy underworld of San Francisco, face off against a ruthless crime boss, and face their own personal demons.
The film is full of action, comedy and suspense as Cates and Hammond must work together to solve the crime before the 48 hours are up. With its unique blend of action and comedy, 48 Hrs. is a classic buddy cop movie that is sure to entertain.
