Synopsis – What to Expect from “3 Men and a Little Lady”
3 Men and a Little Lady is a 1990 American romantic comedy film directed by Emile Ardolino and written by John Hughes. It is the sequel to the 1987 film Three Men and a Baby.
The story follows the three bachelors, Jack (Ted Danson), Peter (Tom Selleck) and Michael (Steve Guttenberg), as they attempt to keep their adopted daughter, Mary (Robin Weisman), from being taken away from them by her mother, Sylvia (Nancy Travis).
Sylvia, a successful businesswoman, has returned to New York City to reclaim her daughter, and she is determined to win Mary back. Jack, Peter, and Michael, however, are equally determined to keep Mary with them. They enlist the help of their housekeeper, Mrs. Doubtfire (a.k.a. Jack’s mother, played by Sylvia Sidney), to help them outwit Sylvia.
The three men devise a plan to make Sylvia think they are all married, and they enlist the help of their female friends to act as their wives. In the meantime, Sylvia has her own plan to win Mary back, and she enlists the help of her former lover, Edward (Christopher Cazenove).
The two parties battle it out in a series of romantic comedy hijinks, and in the end, the truth comes out and Sylvia and Edward are reunited. Mary is allowed to stay with the three men, and
