3 Godfathers is a 1948 Western drama directed by John Ford and starring John Wayne, Pedro Armendariz, and Harry Carey Jr. The plot follows three outlaws, Robert Hightower (John Wayne), William Kearney (Pedro Armendariz), and Pedro Fuentes (Harry Carey Jr.), who are on the run from the law after a train robbery. After a series of misfortunes, the three men find themselves stranded in the desert with no food or water.
While searching for help, the men come across a dying mother and her newborn baby. The men decide to take the baby and make a desperate attempt to get her to safety. They set out on a treacherous journey through the desert, facing many obstacles along the way.
The men eventually reach a small town, but soon find themselves in trouble with the townspeople. They are accused of kidnapping the baby and are forced to flee. As they make their way back to the desert, they come across a group of Native Americans who help them find a safe haven.
