Synopsis/Plot
28 Weeks Later is a 2007 British-American science fiction horror film and the sequel to the 2002 film 28 Days Later. The film follows the story of a group of survivors of a devastating virus that has ravaged the United Kingdom. Six months after the events of the first film, the virus has been contained and the U.S. Army has been brought in to rebuild the country. The virus has been largely eradicated, but there are still some infected individuals living in the wild.
The film follows Don (Robert Carlyle) and his children, Tammy (Imogen Poots) and Andy (Mackintosh Muggleton), as they are evacuated to a safe zone outside of London. However, the virus is still present and the infected individuals are still out there. The group is soon joined by Alice (Catherine McCormack), a U.S. Army doctor, who is sent to investigate the cause of the virus.
As the group attempts to find safety, they are pursued by the infected and the U.S. Army, who are trying to contain the virus. As the group finds out more about the virus, they realize that they must find a way to stop it before it is too late.
