The film then follows the stories of several survivors of the attacks, including a teenage survivor of the Utøya shooting, a lawyer who takes on the case against the shooter, and the families of the victims who must grapple with the aftermath of the tragedy.
The film examines the impact of the attacks on the survivors, their families, and the country of Norway as a whole. It also looks at the legal process that follows such a tragedy, and the difficult decisions that must be made in the aftermath.
