Synopsis – What to Expect from “12:01”
12:01 is a 1993 science fiction thriller directed by Jack Sholder and starring Kurtwood Smith and Jonathan Silverman.
The film follows the story of Larry (Silverman), an office worker who discovers that he is living the same day over and over again. On the same day, every day, he wakes up at 12:01 am and is forced to relive the same day. He soon discovers that his predicament is the result of a time-travel experiment gone wrong, and that he is the only one aware of the time loop.
Desperate to break the cycle, Larry seeks out the help of a scientist, Dr. Lasker (Smith). Together, they try to figure out a way to reverse the experiment and restore Larry’s life to normal.
But as they investigate further, they uncover a sinister plot involving a powerful corporation and a dangerous new technology. With the help of a mysterious woman named Mariko (Alison LaPlaca), Larry and Dr. Lasker must race against time to save the world from disaster.
