100 Streets is a 2016 British drama film directed by Jim O’Hanlon and starring Idris Elba, Gemma Arterton, and Tom Cullen. The film follows the intertwining lives of three people living in London.
Max (Idris Elba) is a former Rugby League star who has been living in the shadow of his past successes for years. He is struggling with his own demons and trying to keep his marriage together with his wife Emily (Gemma Arterton).
Kemal (Tom Cullen) is a young man who is trying to make his way in the world and find his place in society. He is a drug dealer who is trying to make a living while also trying to find the courage to pursue his dreams.
Meanwhile, George (Franz Drameh) is a young man trying to find his way out of a life of crime. He is struggling to make ends meet and is desperate to turn his life around.
The three lives intersect in unexpected ways as they all try to find their place in the world. As they struggle to make their way, they find strength in each other and ultimately learn that sometimes it takes a village to get through the toughest of times.
The film is a powerful and emotional story of redemption, hope, and the power of friendship. It is a story of how even the darkest of streets can be illuminated by a single light.
