For the first time, job seekers and employers can instantly connect using video resumes and online interviews via their Android device with Spark Hire’s (http://www.SparkHire.com) free mobile application. Job seekers can now record a video resume in the form of a Spark Hire Profile Video or take part in a video interview, all from their Android device. Employers can even utilize the application to watch job seeker video resumes and recordings of their video interviews!
“We’ve been determined to release the Android version of the Spark Hire mobile application since the iOS application hit the app store in late May,” said Josh Tolan, CEO of Spark Hire. “The release of our Android application marks a significant step for our company and the video recruiting industry as a whole.”
Using the Spark Hire platform, employers can send candidates a specific set of interview questions to answer on video. Called a Spotlight Interview, or a one-way interview, these videos allow job seekers to develop a more personal connection with hiring managers. Now job seekers can show off their personality, passion for the job, and communication skills — all without ever stepping foot in the office or even using a webcam. Instead, job seekers can record these Spotlight Interviews anywhere they are from their Android phones and tablets. And busy employers can also use their Android devices to watch the interviews.
“We have big goals,” said Tolan. “Since our launch in February 2012, our solutions have expanded into more than 22 countries. However, this is just the beginning. Our mission is to help companies around the world adapt video interviewing technology into their hiring processes. The release of our Android mobile application is just another step towards what we’re setting out to do and one of many new features and enhancements we will be adding to the Spark Hire platform in the months to come.”
