Apple’s China iPhone 4S Problem Escalates (VIDEO)

email

Early Friday morning in China was not a pretty sight for Apple, or the iPhone 4S. At Apple’s China store, a huge crowd was growing and getting frustrated by the minute. The reason? Apple delayed opening the store, along with suspending iPhone 4S sales until further notice, citing the safety of their customers and employees. A move hoping to quench those upset, rather igniting the crowd further.

The company did announce however that the iPhone 4S would still be available online, through Apple’s authorized sales partner, Unicom. No further comment was made in regards to when Apple could start back with retail iPhone sales at the store.

With a popularity rush for the new phone, Apple has seen the demand for the 4S continue to rise in China. Many at the scene being migrant workers, who were promised finder fees for being the first to secure a purchase of the iPhone 4S at release today, were the ones contributing to most of the head count of 1000 or so.

Insider accounts of the incident are posted in the video below from YouTube user vonis22.
